This is just the basic cost of tuition. The above balance does not include athletic fees, retreat fees, graduation fee, and/or for those students that drive to school there is a parking fee.
Explanation of Fees
The tuition at Driscoll Catholic High School for the year 2008 -2009 is $7,925.00
A non-refundable registration fee of $200.00 is required when the student signs up for courses for the following year.
A deposit of tuition of $250.00 is required of each student at the time of registration. Deposit is non-refundable after May 1st and is part of the total tuition cost. Students whose registration fee and deposit are not paid by due dates will not be given confirmed schedules for the coming school year and will be placed on a waiting list until fees are paid.
Textbook Rental Fee
A $425.00 rental fee is required for all textbooks, workbooks, lab fees, academic fees and PLAN/PSAT testing. This fee is due July 1, 2008 and should be included with the July tuition payment. Rental fee is not refundable after August 1st. Students are required to return their books to Driscoll in good condition or a replacement cost will be charged. The rental program does not include: summer reading books, English class novels, retreat, registration, yearbook, athletic fees or schedule charges.
NSF Checks Fee
A charge of $25.00 will be charged to the account whenever a check is returned to the school by the bank marked as unpaid. We do not re-deposit checks. All accounts that incur more than two (2) NSF checks must pay via cashier's check, money order, credit card or cash. Driscoll Catholic will not accept personal checks.
A graduation fee of $125.00 is required of each senior. This fee is due by April 1, 2009. Seniors must have taken care of all their financial obligations to the school in order to attend prom, to participate in the commencement ceremony, and to receive their diploma.
Overnight Retreat Fees
An overnight retreat will be required of each Junior attending Driscoll Catholic. The retreat fee is $175.00. The fee covers room and board. There is an optional overnight retreat for Seniors too. The fee is also $175.00.
Athletic fees re due before practices begin. Any fee not paid by the 3rd week of practice will be assessed a $25.00 late fee in addition to the regular fee and athletes will not be allowed to practice or play until the fee is paid. Refund of athletic fees will not be given if a student leaves a team after the 3rd week of practice. Athletic fees vary, depending on what sport it is that the student is participating in. Students who drive their cars to school must obtain a parking pass from the Main Office. A fee of $50.00 per year must be paid before parking passes are issued. Parking fees are due the first week of classes.
The purchase of a yearbook is optional. The yearbook moderator will contact students during the school year about procedures for ordering books and about the cost of the yearbook.
Students enrolled in summer school are responsible for payment before classes begin. No refunds will be given after May 15, 2009 for dropped classes.
Tuition and/or fees that have been paid for a student who withdraws after August 1st will not be refunded. If a student withdraws and then wishes to return, all customary fees will again apply at re-registration. No credits will be allowed for fees previously paid.
