Scholarships

INCOMING FRESHMAN

Incoming Freshman Academic Scholarship:
This $500 scholarship will be granted to five freshmen scoring the highest on the entrance exam. This scholarship is renewable for students who maintain a 3.5 GPA.

Al Fuchsen Scholarship
This $500 incoming freshman scholarship is awarded to the student from St. Walter School or Parish who scores the highest on the entrance exam. Scholarship is renewable.


Work Study Program

Student Work Study
Our work program allows students to reduce their tuition based on hourly participation in the program. Hours are awarded based upon financial need and reflected in the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment. Awards are $500-$1,000.

Adult Work Study
Projects for parents will be arranged on an individual basis. Awards range from $500-$1,500.

Driscoll Grant Program
Driscoll grants are awarded based solely upon financial need reflected in the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment. Families with the most financial need will receive the largest awards. Awards range from $250-$3,000.

Christian Brothers' Family Grant
Parents who are employed by a Catholic school or parish are eligible for tuition reduction from $500 to 50% of tuition for each child attending Driscoll. A letter requesting this aid is required along with the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment.

Family Discount
Siblings of current Driscoll students receive a $700 tuition reduction. This reduction is $3,500 if it is the third child in the family attending. A fourth child in the family attends for free.

  

Joliet Diocesan Grants:

Bishop's Grant
The Diocese of Joliet awards this grant to families who complete the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment before March 1st and show financial need. Award amount is $1,000 per student.

Kazma Family Scholarship
The Diocese of Joliet gives this award to those who complete the Kazma Family Scholarship application and who show significant financial need. Awards range from $3,000-$4,000 and are renewable for students who maintain a 3.5 GPA.

Designated Scholarships

The following scholarships are awarded thanks to benefactors of Driscoll Catholic High School. Awards are given to students of exceptional standing who demonstrate financial need. Amounts range from $500-$1,000.

Arlis Scholarship
Awarded to two students each year who have a 3.5 academic average and who participate in extracurriculars.

Robert A. Barth Scholarship
Awarded to two boys who show good sportsmanship

Chris Nixon Scholarship
Awarded to two students who excel academically and participate in extracurriculars.

Carol Pfeiffer Scholarship
Awarded to two sophomore girls with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA who are involved in extra-curricular activities.

Al Fuchsen scholarship
Awarded to one student who is a member of the hockey club.

Freshman Faculty scholarship
Awarded by faculty members to one freshman with a positive school attitude and school involvement.

Kelly Scholarship
Awarded to a sophomore who participates in at least two sports and has a 3.0 GPA.

Thomas Sullivan Scholarship
Granted to two students who demonstrate outstanding character.

Labrack/McDonald Scholarship
Awarded to two students involved in extra-curricular activities that exhibit strong enthusiasm and love for Driscoll Catholic.
