The Vision of Lasallian Schools
Lasallian Schools are Catholic educational communities inspired by the vision of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, providing a human and Christian education to the young, especially the poor, in solidarity with the living tradition of the Brothers of the Christian Schools.
The spirit of those in Lasallian schools is a spirit of faith and zeal. They view all things with the eyes of faith, do everything in the view of God and attribute all to God.
As cooperators with Jesus Christ, their faith, enlivened by the Holy Spirit, kindles an ardent zeal for the salvation of those confided to their care.
The principal function of those in Lasallian schools consists of the work of evangelization and catechesis, determined to make the means of salvation available to young people through quality education and by an explicit proclamation of Jesus Christ. The school's activities focus on growth in faith. A spirit of prayer and attentiveness to the presence of God animate the Lasallian School’s identity. School personnel strive to touch the hearts of students participating in a shared mission. As ambassadors of Jesus Christ, they look upon their professional work as a ministry, opening others to the riches of God's grace and helping them to discover, appreciate and assimilate both human and Gospel values.
Lasallian schools operate together and by association collaborating with all members of the educational community to spread the Gospel through education. The vitality of the Lasallian School comes from the quality and fidelity of each of its members. All those involved in the mission of Lasallian education work in solidarity with each other in order to accomplish the work of education in the light of a common Lasallian spirituality.
