A Letter from Fred Muehleman, Principal
Dear Driscoll Catholic High School Family,
As the days get longer and the weather warmer, I am sure your thoughts wander to the many tasks that lie ahead for you this coming spring. For our Seniors, the major task for them is to finalize their college plans. While many of our students already know what college they will attend and how they will pay for it, there are still many more that are still weighing their options and counting their pennies. If you are the parent of a Senior student, please take some time over the next weeks to discuss with your child this most important spring task. There is no substitute for higher education in terms of “earning power”, and your child has already received a high quality academic foundation here at DCHS. Success at the collegiate level is theirs for the asking.
ACT preparation is ongoing for Juniors. While not the sole criteria for college acceptance, ACT scores are very important and should not be underestimated. Please contact your child’s Guidance Counselor if you have any questions concerning the ACT test or preparing for it.
The DCHS faculty and staff attended the Lasallian Convocation, a one day gathering of all Chicagoland Lasallian ministries. It is a day designed to celebrate the great educational work done in the name of our Founder, St. John Baptist De La Salle, at all of our Lasallian schools. The cost of Catholic education is a formidable one, filled with individual and family sacrifices. The Lasallian Mission has always focused on providing a human and Christian education for all those who desire it. This is a great service of the Church and one that you have invested in. We thank you for your support of DCHS and look forward to continuing our relationship for many more years to come.
Respectfully,
Fred Muehleman
Principal
